Violet Oakley Signed Folio

Description

Folio titled "Law Triumphant Containing the Opening Book of the Law and the Miracle of Geneva". By Violet Oakley, privately printed by Violet Oakley, Philadelphia, 1932 Limited to 300 copies, this being number 135 and signed by Violet Oakley on limitation page. Leather folio is gilt-lettered and pictorial with gilded brass clasps and gilt paste downs . Folio holds 2 volumes in printed boards (one text and one of art plates). Plate book contains 71 colored mounted plates. Staining to front board of text volume with some slight scuffs to leather folio. The volume contains 16 plates of Oakley's paintings in the Philadelphia Supreme Court Rooms, and 55 portraits of League of Nations delegates (8th to the 10th Assemblies).
