Assorted lot of four autographs by Kate Smith, Henry Clay, Jersey Joe Walcott, and Harry F. Bird, Jr. All in good to very good condition. Includes:
Henry Clay (1777-1852) signature on a small card, 2.625” x 1.875”. Undated, but identified on verso as having been signed in February 1851. Signed, “H. Clay.”
Singer Kate Smith (1907-1986) signed black and white photo, 7.25” x 9.25”; no place, no date. A glamorous chest-up pose; signed, “Sincerely, Kate Smith.”
Boxer Jersey Joe Walcott (1914-1994) signed photo, 8” x 9.75”; no place, no date. A candid pose signed, “Jersey Joe Walcott.”
Harry F. Byrd (1887-1986) TLS, 1p., 8” x 10.5”; Washington D.C.; April 23, 1975. Responding to a constituent letter “concerning taxation of general aviation.” Signed, “Harry F. Byrd Jr.” Signature is shaky, possibly an autopen.
