Condition
Each overall good appearance. The full board / full margins with deckled edges.
The collage: As a working study for the woodcut edition shown here (and/or the Washington Print Collectors Club woodcut poster), has some small spots of stray glue and a few rice-sized (or smaller) spots of pale staining or surface soiling. Minor time staining along the extreme edges and verso of the board mount. Remains of old, dried-up adhesive along the verso of the mount's edges. The work is hinged to the overmat from the board mount's upper edge, verso.
The woodcut: With a very soft diagonal handling mark across the lower left margin corner (just into the "A" at the end of the pencil inscription/title). The slightest hint of mat staining in the uppermost portion of the upper margin. The sheet is hinged to the back mat along the upper margin edge.
Each framed under glass: 16" H x 15" W x 1.25" D; and 28.5" H x 24" W x 1" D, respectively
Condition reports are offered as a courtesy and are typically published in Moran's catalogue or can be made available upon request. The absence of a condition report does not imply that an item is free from defects or restoration, nor does a reference to particular defects imply the absence of others. Buyers are responsible for determining to their own satisfaction the true nature and condition of any lot prior to bidding. Though buyers are not legally required to inspect lots prior to purchase, failure to do so may constitute a waiver of complaint that an item was not delivered in a condition equal to the existent condition at the auction.
