The mechanism utilizes a horizontal drum housing a rotating price-calculation chart visible through a glass window on the merchant side. The customer side features a vertical weight verification window marked STYLE 146. A thick circular glass weighing platform is supported by a four-arm cast iron spider frame. The top brass crest is inscribed: THE COMPUTING SCALE CO. DAYTON, OHIO - U.S.A.
