Pair Michael Ricker Cast Pewter Figurines

Description

This lot consists of two cast pewter figurines by American artist Michael Ricker (1940-2006), each mounted on a rectangular finished wood base. The first figurine depicts an Old World style character, possibly a wizard or a traditional Santa Claus, featuring a tall pointed hood adorned with holly-leaf motifs and an elongated, textured beard. The figure is dressed in heavy robes with wide cuffs and is finished in a dark, textured patina with gold-toned accents on the cuffs and rocky base. The second figurine depicts St. Nicholas in traditional ecclesiastical regalia, including a bishop's mitre and a crozier, with a sack carried over his right shoulder. The figure features a dark patina with selective gold-toned detailing on the mitre, crozier, and the trim of the vestments. A metal plaque is mounted to the front of the wooden base of this figure, inscribed: "ST. NICHOLAS" BY MICHAEL RICKER.
