A group of four hand-operated fireplace bellows constructed from wood, leather, and metal. The uppermost example features light-colored oak handles and body, joined with tan leather and decorative brass-headed tacks, terminating in a brass nozzle. This item is hand-signed J. R. Beard in script on the wood of the lower handle. The remaining three items are of an older, utilitarian design, likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. These are constructed with dark wood frames, black or dark-stained leather, and nozzles made of iron or steel. One of the older examples features a crimped metal nozzle and a leather hanging loop.
