Description
An antique Singer Model 13-3 sewing machine head, manufactured for industrial or heavy tailoring use. The unit features a cast iron frame with a black japanned finish and is embellished with gold-toned Victorian-style scroll and floral decals. The front of the arm displays the Singer name in large gold lettering. A brass-colored circular trade mark badge is affixed to the pillar, embossed with The Singer Manfg Co and a central logo. A metal plate mounted above the badge is stamped with the model designation 13-3. The base features a stamped serial number K1067096, indicating production at the Singer factory in Kilbowie, Scotland, circa 1902. The machine includes a large spoked balance wheel, needle bar, presser foot, and top-mounted tensioning components. A section of metal drive chain is present near the base.
