Description
This late 19th-century oval platter is made of semi-porcelain earthenware and features a scalloped edge. It is decorated in the Waldorf pattern using the flow blue transferware technique, where the blue pigment is allowed to flow into the white glaze during firing to create a blurred effect. Length: 11 inches. The platter displays overall glaze crazing on the front and back surfaces. There is a small chip on the outer edge of the rim. Typical kiln stilt marks and minor firing imperfections are visible on the base.
