COA on the back as well as a Newspaper Article. Ships with the frame without glass for $35.00. If you don't want the frame we can ship flat in the mat for $27.00. Condition: Frame has wear and frame separation at corners, lithograph may have some toning on the sides and a small amount of dirt in the bottom area. Glass appears loose and will be discarded before shipping. SHIPS WITHOUT GLASS!
Known for his landscape paintings, especially in winter, he has also produced lithographs used for book illustrations.
Bernard Gantner was born in Belfort, France in 1928, into a family originally from the Alsace region. With the encouragement of his family, in particular his grandfather, Gantner started drawing a very young age. He went to Paris to study at the School of Fine Arts and returned home after a year. His career as a painter gained momentum in the 1950's and in 1961 Gantner won the Critic's Prize for his work. Since then, he has had numerous exhibitions in France and abroad.
