Pietro Consagra (1920-2005) was an influential Italian sculptor from Palermo, Sicily. A graduate of the Accademia di Belle Arti, he was a founding member of the Formula 1 group, advocating for Marxism and structured abstraction. He initially worked in metal and later expanded to marble and wood.
