Description
An unusual scatter with a west Persian village weave on cotton, but a design closely derived from south Persian Khamseh rugs. The black field displays a densely hooked three hexagon ecru pole medallion with all reserves filled with amusing chickens. Rust goats as fillers and lateral herringbone plants. Main ecru border of four arrowhead squares. Secondary bracket borders. One odd rug mixing design traditions. Moderate weave. Good condition.
