Description

A set of four Beswick glazed porcelain figurines from The Sporting Characters Collection, produced as a special edition of 1,500 for Sinclairs under the Royal Doulton umbrella. The collection features anthropomorphic animals in various athletic poses, including It's A Knockout (SC1) featuring a boxer dog, hand-numbered 352/1,500 and dated 1998; Fly Fishing (SC1) featuring a frog, dated 1999; Out for a Duck featuring a mallard duck cricketer, hand-numbered 740/1,500 and dated 1998; and Last Lion of Defense (SC2) featuring a lion rugby player, hand-numbered 214/1,500 and dated 1998. Each figure is marked with the Beswick crown over B factory mark, Royal Doulton copyright stamps, and various inspection marks including S. Pemberton and MF stickers. Approximately 6 inches.
