Part of a banner from the french catholique church , this embroidery is typical from the late 18 hundreds and represent the Christ , the use of several techniques and materials create an very nice pieces of art , you will find water colors painting for the face and halo painted in gold following the Byzantine tradition silk and metallic gold and silver trim , note the extreme and well executed kindness in the yes of the figure size 20.50" H on 10" W .Perfect to be framed and display like a piece of art. The green textile on the pictures is just something we added in order to highlight the embroidery, not part of the piece
