Antique Louis XV Chinese Gilt Lacquerware Tea Caddy Box W/Carved Dragon Feet

Gorgeousn mid 19th century antique Chinese tea caddy made of guilt lacquer ware wood and hand-painted with traditional scenes such as Chinese palaces, landscapes, and figural vignettes enclosed in ornamental panels. This is in a paneled octagonal shape with a domed lid and carve open mouth dragon head feet, the open mouths have been painted red, really unique detail. The inside of the lid has gilt foliage. These caddies were export pieces for Western markets. Nice condition, approx 150 yrs old, no key, has cracking of the lacquer on the bottom only. Measures 5.5" high, 9" wide, 6" deep.
