Vintage pair of Louis XV wingback double caned bergeres crafted sometime in the late 20th century. Structurally sound - hand carved - kiln dried - hardwood frames are painted a soft gray hue with ivory highlights in a distressed finish. Contrasting brown stained caned backs, seats, sides. Clarence House cut silk velvet taupe/black/ivory upholstered down filled seat and lumbar cushions plus arm pads. Each measures 31" wide x 42.25" high x 33" deep. Seat height is 19" from floor to cushion top . Arm height hits at 25.5" from floor to arm pad top.
In excellent vintage condition. Structurally sound frames have a variety of "dings", "wear" and purposefully patinated finish nuances. Caning on both chairs is totally intact with no holes, tears, or rips. Upholstery is "like new" with no stains, wear, rips, tears, or issues of note. See photos for details.
