Early 20th-Century Chinese Cobalt-Blue-Glazed General Jar

Description

This vibrant blue is achieved with a metallic oxide and made reflective with an outer gloss layer. The faintest carving designs are visible via the pooling of the glaze, while the movement of the glaze itself during firing produced a fiery texture underneath the gloss.
