About Rainbow:
Founded by two Dutch immigrants in the 1940s, Rainbow, based in Huntington, NY, began manufacturing its own glassware in 1954 and soon became known for producing spectacular, colorful, handblown glass.
In 1973, Rainbow Art Glass was purchased as a subsidiary of the Viking Glass Company of New Martinsville, West Virginia and renamed Rainbow-Viking Glass.
