Here we have an exceptional example of the original M16 German helmet of WWI. AL64 Stamped just forward of the chinstrap attachment point. The leather headband (pre-1917 when they changed these to steel) and padded leather liner is in excellent condition. The leather chinstrap is in good condition but a little dryer than the headband/liner leather. A must have for any serious collector!
