This is an original M42 German helmet from WWII. Tri-color camouflage pattern is well protected and preserved. The leather of the liner is in great condition as is the chinstrap though it is a bit dryer and more stiff as it has been across the brim for some time. Original darkening of the liner from sweat of the soldier is visible. This is a wonderful example of the M42 helmet of WWII!
