A collection of seven Goebel hand-painted ceramic figurines based on the original designs of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel. This group depicts children in traditional Alpine-style pastoral and domestic scenes. Included in the assortment are figures such as a chimney sweep with a ladder, a girl feeding ducks (Be Patient), a boy with a school cone and backpack (Little Scholar), a boy on a fence with a bird (Wayside Harmony), a girl with her hands hidden behind her back (Which Hand?), and a limited edition piece titled Fascination depicting a child with a hobby horse. The undersides of the bases feature several Goebel trademarks, including the TMK-2 Full Bee mark and various stylized bee in a V marks with W. Germany designations (TMK-3 through TMK-6). Notable model numbers incised on the pieces include 386, 12/I, 197/I, 258, and 80. The Fascination figurine is hand-numbered 04943 of a limited edition of 25,000 and is dated 1991. Other pieces show stamped production years such as 1948, 1963, and 1971. Most figurines bear the incised facsimile signature M. J. Hummel on the side or top of the base.
