Signed n bold blue fountain pen ink to the lower white border of the image, also dated 1963 in his hand; Rudolf Serkin (1903-1991) Bohemian-born Austrian and later American pianist. Serkin is widely regarded as one of the greatest Beethoven interpreters of the 20th century. The image shows Serking performing on scene playing his piano in a full-length pose. Signed in bold blue ink `With best wishes - Rudolf Serkin´, also dated in his hand on 16th January 1990; Wilhelm Kempff (1895-1991) German Pianist, the Harcourt image showing Kempff in a close-up portrait thoughtful pose. Signed in blue ink to the lower white border of the image, and Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli (1920-1995) Italian pianist. Widely considered as one of the greatest pianists of the twentieth century. According to The New York Times, he was perhaps the most reclusive, enigmatic and obsessive among the handful of the world's legendary pianists.
