Description
Each bill displays a central portrait of Thomas Jefferson on the obverse, flanked by a red treasury seal and red serial numbers. Both items are designated as star notes, which serve as replacement notes, indicated by the asterisk prefix in the serial numbers: *00277058 A and *00056790 A. The notes carry the signatures of Treasurer Kathryn O'Hay Granahan and Secretary of the Treasury C. Douglas Dillon. The reverse of each note illustrates Monticello. These banknotes are housed in clear plastic currency sleeves.
