Description

Late Meiji period (1890s 1912) Japanese buffalo horn kushi (hair comb) with lacquer decoration of a butterfly by a blooming peony, design continuing on both sides. Signed KOICHI on the front. Very well made, wonderful work in Japanese taste, in great condition without any losses. Length 3.5 inches. Part of East Coast collection of Japanese hair items.
