Chatwin expresses his thanks for being invited to attend a D. H. Lawrence celebration, however remarks ´Unfortunately, I have to go and teach (for the first time in my life) in America during the whole of October, so I won´t be able to attend´. Accompanied by the original envelope hand addressed by Chatwin to his correspondent at Art Actuel in Nancy, France. EX
