Vintage signed carte-de-visite photograph, the sepia albumen print by Henri Le Lieure of Rome depicting Garibaldi standing in a full-length pose wearing a poncho and Garibaldi Hat (or Smoking Cap). Signed ('G. Garibaldi') in fountain pen ink with his name alone to the lower mount. With the photographer's imprint to the lower mount and verso. Henri Le Lieure (1831–1914) French photographer who became one of the most celebrated portraitists in 19th-century Italy. He is particularly famous for his high-society portraits and for his role as an official photographer to the Italian royalty.
