Description
A Rare US Vt. Starr Model 1826 Naval Cutlass in good to very good condition with nice markings and moderate wear to the blade. The U.S. Starr Model 1826 Naval Cutlass was an early 19th-century American naval edged weapon produced by Nathan Starr, one of the first major U.S. military sword contractors. Made for the U.S. Navy, the Model 1826 cutlass was intended for shipboard use, where a short, sturdy blade was practical for close-quarters fighting, boarding actions, and general naval defense.
