Sights/Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade set in the front of the solid rib. The rear sight has one fixed "U"-notch, with flip up cover, in a base dovetailed to the rear of the rib. The top tang features a folding aperture sight, fine-adjustable for elevation. Three claw mount style scope mounts are present on the barrel.
Stock: The stocks are two-piece checkered select walnut with horn-tipped splinter forend, steel capped pistol grip, straight comb with shadow-line cheek piece, trapdoor assembly in the belly with sling swivel and storage for four cartridges. The buttplate appears to be aftermarket. There are some scattered marks, including a chip on the right edge of the forend. The finish appears original with a small scratch on the right side near the grip. The checkering is generally well defined. Stock is marked "JS" on bottom behind pistol grip, a hole has been drilled in the comb midway along the top of the buttstock. The LOP measures 14 1/2" and 13 5/8" from the fronts of the triggers to the back of the buttplate. Overall, the stocks are in Very Good condition considering their age.
Finish: Blued barrels and trigger guard, case color receiver, lock lever, triggers, stock storage cover and tang.
Finish Cond: Original, some wear on sling swivels, strong blue on most of barrel.
Bore: Very lightly frosted, still bright. Sharp rifling throughout
