Description
A nice Indonesian/Bali/Javanese Kris Knife in good to very good condition. Engraved blade and grip with a very ornate scabbard. The bolo was widely used throughout the islands as a practical agricultural blade for clearing brush, cutting vegetation, and general utility work, while also serving as a capable fighting knife when needed. During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, bolo knives became strongly associated with Filipino fighters, revolutionaries, and local militia forces, including during the Philippine Revolution, Philippine-American War, and later conflicts.
