Small Civil War Period Double Bladed Knife

Description

Small Civil War Period American Double Bladed Side Knife with Leather and Brass Scabbard. Typical of a soldier carried side knife, this appears to have been made in America rather than imported from Europe. Based on scabbard construction most likely a Confederate carried blade. It measures 10" overall with a 5.75" spear point double edged blade. There is a simple Walnut grip with a brass ferrule at the base and a nicely made brass cross guard. The leather and brass scabbard is fragile but original to the knife and displays well.
