Japanese sword in WWII mounts - signed

Description

Japanese sword with an older signed family blade. Perhaps 1800's made. Regulation Shin Gunto handle with civilian saya. Saya has been restored from presumably a wooden saya with leather combat cover. Older iron tsuba with fine gold detail. Massive heavy blade with a 28 1/4l cutting edge. Very fine piece.
