Description

A vintage painted chalkware bust depicting a Native American male figure in a traditional-style feathered headdress. The headdress is decorated in shades of red, green, and yellow. The figure wears a necklace featuring a central circular medallion and claw-like pendants, along with a green sash across the chest containing a molded arrow motif. The figure is shown clutching a dark cylindrical object. The front of the base is incised with the word IROQUOIS, identifying the intended subject. The item is constructed from cast plaster with a painted finish, typical of novelty figurines and carnival prizes produced in the United States during the mid-20th century. A small green sticker with the handwritten number 74 is located on the chest.
