Description

Vintage mid 20th century pottery sculpture vessel vase by Joel Edwards (1923-2007) California. Matte blue and gray glaze, double neck, orb shaped body. Well known Californian potter he studied at the Brooklyn Museum School in Brooklyn, New York and MFA Otis Art Institute (now Otis College of Art and Design) in Los Angeles, California. Edwards was a student of Peter Voulkos at Otis. He also studied under Marguerite Wildenhain and Soji Hamada. Excellent condition.
