Ikebana-arranging flowers /making flowers alive is the Japanese art of flower arrangement.
Tradition dates back to Heian period.when floral offerings were made at altars and were later used to adorn traditional Japanese homes.
Taisho Period - 1912 to 1926, coinciding with the reign of the Emperor Taisho.
