Antique Chinese Bronze Mirror

Description

This antique mirror in the classic lotus flower shape is decorated with the eight treasures and carved Phoenixes on the front. Hold this mirror to the sun and shine the hidden design to a smooth white surface. These antique mirrors are becoming rarer and rarer. The condition of this beauty is near perfection. Only a bit cloudy on the back surface from the age. These mirrors were produced for the royal court. This particular mirror dates to the 15th century. The patina on this mirror is especially nice and the handle on the front has a hole which will allow it to be hung, but we like this mirror sitting in a rosewood stand included.
