Description
Offered is a magnificent 12-inch tall antique Nippon Royal Kinran porcelain vase, likely dating to the turn of the century (circa 1891-1921). This exquisite piece features a dual-handled Art Nouveau silhouette and is heavily decorated with raised gold moriage and intricate hand-painted floral motifs.
The central body showcases vibrant pink and purple anemones or poppies against a stippled "coralene" gold sky and soft green foliage. The handles and scalloped rim are finished in a rich, matte cream and burnished gold. This is a two-piece construction, secured by an original internal iron bolt at the base.
Condition: Excellent antique condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor expected age-related wear to the gilding and oxidation to the internal underside bolt. A premier addition to any collection of Japanese export porcelain.
