A commanding antique Chinese cloisonné enamel charger from the Late Qing Dynasty to early Republic period. This 12-inch basin-style plate features a vibrantly enameled five-clawed imperial dragon in golden-yellow, meticulously rendered with fine wirework. The dragon is depicted chasing the flaming pearl of wisdom amongst multi-colored ruyi-style clouds and auspicious vapors.

The central motif is set against a deep turquoise-blue ground, which extends to the reverse. The underside displays a secondary layer of delicate geometric wirework beneath the enamel"”a hallmark of quality craftsmanship. The rim and base are finished in a heavy brass with a deep, authentic patina.

Condition: Excellent antique condition. The enamel is stable with no chips or significant losses. Extremely minor pin-sized pitting consistent with the period's firing process.
