Mid 19th century pair of English Staffordshire King Charles dogs featuring classic hand-painted decoration and traditional seated form. The expressive faces and warm coloration reflect the charm and character associated with Staffordshire pottery, making them a timeless decorative accent suited to mantel, shelf, or traditional interior displays. As with most early Staffordshire, there is no maker's mark. These charming figures were originally fashioned after Queen Victoria's beloved pet, Dash.
