17th Century Spanish Colonial Leather Covered Arcon or Domed Coffer. Old oil painted floral motif exterior, brass studded decoration, and wrought iron decorative work including strap hinges, bail handles, and escutcheon. Original interior linen lining painted a geometric motif, and two interior tills. Pine carcass. Raised on tenoned black painted wooden supports, probably later. Some old repairs to leather exterior with wear and losses commensurate with age, otherwise good condition. Measures 41 inches wide x 20 x 18 inches tall.
