Vintage Neoclassical Continental Daybed With Inlaid Parquetry Stars and Moire Upholstery

Description

Dreamy neoclassical style Continental daybed from the mid 20th century. The frame is made of solid wood with parquetry inlaid stars in various veneers. It has a loose and reversible mattress cushion, two bolster pillows and three miscellaneous cushions all with zippered closures. The upholstery is a peach color that looks like a moire silk. It's a truly unique piece perfect for lounging with a book or cocktail.

Condition Notes: Very good vintage condition with normal wear from age and use. The mattress cushion has a water stain on both sides (photos 8 & 9). The gimp trim has a few minor pulls (photo 10). It's missing one wood end slat (photo 11). Minor dings on the frame the most notable shown in last 2 photos. See all photos.
