A Pair of New England Tiger Maple Chippendale Side Chairs With Rush Seats, Circa 1800

New England states area, circa 1800. We are thinking they could be from the Vermont or New Hampshire area.

Tiger maple, with rush seats. Pierced cut backs, one chair exhibits slight more "tigering" to the maple grain than the other. both chairs are made from Maple wood, just one is more tiger-y than the other. Rush seats are replacements, probably from the 1950's. Pegged construction. Well made chairs.

Size: 20" wide, 16" deep, 39 1/2" tall, and 17 1/4" seat height.

Condition: Overall very good. One chair has a darker stain to the back, probably from an old refinish. replaced rush seats. typical use and wear marks associated with age/use.
