Antique English Staffordshire Blue Transfer Decorated Sauce Tureen "Windsor Festoon"

Made by the John and William Ridgeway, Manufacturers of earthenware and china at Cauldon Place and at the Bell Works, Albion Street, Stoke-upon-Trent, England. They were in operation from 1814-1830.

Marked on the bottom "Windsor Festoon Opaque China" and "J & W R"

Sauce tureen body, lid, AND original ladle. Having the original Ladle is very rare. Pale light blue floral and butterfly decoration, with a gadrooned edge.

A similar soup and sauce tureen combo are pictured on the Potteries.org site.
We are listing the matching soup tureen as well. We do not know if the tureens we have are indeed the same ones pictured on the site.

Size: 6" by 7" and 6" tall.

Condition: Excellent overall condition, minor glaze chips, and minor use and wear marks consistent with age. Glaze chips on the lid. See pictures.
