Rockwell Kent "Salamina" Chop Plate

Description

A wonderful and large "Salamina" chop plate. This design was made for Vernon Kilns by Rockwell Kent in the 1930s. The plate measures 16.5" in diameter and is in perfect condition. No chips, crazing, cracks, etc. Just excellent. The colors are brilliant and shows the design to its absolute best. Rockwell Kent is a well known artist (1882-1971) and is highly collected by many mid-century modernist as his designs were well ahead of his time. The clean design of this plate goes well with almost any decor.
