Superb signed and framed original painting on canvas depicting Alfama, Portugal circa 1968. Alfama is one of Europe's oldest neighborhoods and the architecture has a Moorish feel. This impressionist painting brings out the warmth and charm of this historic village. It is beautifully rendered in layered brushstrokes and depicts a narrow alley among buildings in Alfama. It is signed illegibly in the bottom left corner, and on the reverse reads 'Alfama 68 Portugal.' It's presented in a silver gilt wood frame with linen matte. A great addition to the world traveler's art collection.
