This Art Deco tubular anodized aluminum standing coatrack was designed by American designer Warren McArthur. The rack consists of four aluminum tubes banded together that elegantly flare at the base with a supportive ring and black rubber grips on each leg. At the top the tubes branch out into 8 hooks, four of them tipped with black rubber. There are exceptional disc and banding details throughout that connect these elements in keeping with McArthur's streamline profile of the art deco machine-age era.

Designer Warren McArthur during the Great Depression sought to design furniture that could be used both indoors and outdoors and to do this he employed tubular aluminum before it became associated with the Bauhaus. His designs were sought after by celebrities such as Clark Gable and Marlene Dietrich. He was also asked to design the executive offices for Chrysler.
