A Super Fine Set of 6 Royal Crown Derby Imari Pattern Dessert Plates by Stevenson & Hancock, Circa 1860's
Made by Stevenson and Hancock, at the King Street Factory in Derby, England, Circa 1860's
Red/Orange hand painted mark on the reverse, This particular mark was used from 1861 to 1935, however we feel these date to the earlier side of the range. 1860-1870's, judging by the clay and wear marks on the underside.
A visually striking set of plates. Great colours, and superb Condition.
Hand painted with gold accents, superfine bone porcelain. Hand made and Hand painted. Pattern number #2451, often called "Old Imari"
Size: 7.25" across
Condition: Excellent overall condition. Light wear from age and use. 2 plates appear to have a crazing line on the back, which we feel is actually a crack. No chips. very light wear from use and age. These were probably kept in a china closet, thus the condition is very well preserved. See pictures.
