Vintage Rare English Art Deco Revival Chrome & Resin LeGarcon Mannequin by Lindsey Balkweill
This rare English Art Deco Revival Silver and Red Mannequin was created in the 1970s by sculptor and ceramicist Lindsey Balkweill.
This iconic design was produced in 3 sizes, these 2 are the life-size, 6 foot version.
These “Le Garcon" figures were expensive when they were produced, relatively few were sold and even fewer have survived today. They were made of resin and fiberglass in 3 color combinations that we have seen. Black & Silver being the most common, a Blue and Silver and The Rarest The Red & Silver Color Combination. He stands on a black painted, two-tier base.
Sighed "Lindsey B" to the right side of the lower back.

UPHOLSTERY/REFINISHING:

We custom upholster and refinish majority of our items that you see up for sale. We use high end fabrics/hides/leathers/mohairs/boucles/velvets/etc., we replace the foam with high density foam (other foams are available if you preffered something different), just let us know and we will make it happen. Springs/straps/webbing are tightened/replaced/adjusted as needed. We bring the item fully back to life.

We also offfer quality fabrics for a great prices and can get the job done in about 2-3 weeks (or if you need it done sooner just let us), as we have 3 upholsterers on staff so we can always rearrange some things. We also extend our upholstery services for items purchased outside of our shop. For a quote, text us at 847-533-1945 with photo, measurements and if you have any fabric in mind. We will then get back to you with a quote and fabric suggestions. You can also provide your own fabric on any project. If the items are purchased from us and upholstery is wanted, the upholstery price will be discounted.
