Description
(Wallach, 1960) A handwritten letter by actor Eli Wallach, created during the production of "The Misfits," features the signatures of his legendary co-stars Clark Gable, Montgomery Clift, Marilyn Monroe, and director John Huston. Addressed to a fan named "Mr. Purnell," the letter is composed on stationery from the Mapes Hotel in Reno, where the film's cast stayed during production. Although the fan initially requested Wallach's signature, the generous actor went above and beyond by persuading his collaborators to sign the letter as well. Measuring 7.25" x 10.5", the letter is in very good condition with folds from mailing, creases, edge wear, and spots of discoloration, one of which is on the Monroe signature.
