Description
These are old chairs and to a degree a bit primitive (they were not made for the Emperor). Some of the wood originally used has noticeable insect damage but those areas were intentionally turned under or to the inside. Two of the chairs' rear-leg to seat braces had evidence of several poor attempts at repair with nails, screws and glue using the original supports and they were falling apart. We did a better job at stabilizing the structure of these two chairs but it required using new wood and screws. We retain the four original braces for these chairs and are included in the sale. There was also some bracing under the seats that was attached with screws that appear to have been added at some point in time in the past. Condition issues are included in the photos.
