Description
DECORATED EARTHENWARE / REDWARE WASH BASIN, lead-glazed with slip-wash and mottled manganese splotches to exterior, deep pan-like form with rounded rim, rear soap dish with drain holes flanked by two shallow pour spouts, and applied vertical strap handles, having three lightly incised rings to exterior, unglazed bottom. Second half 19th century. 3 7/8" HOA, 12 1/2" WOA (including handles).

Short light hairline off rim at soap dish, some expected scattered areas of glaze exfoliation and wear.
