SHEET-IRON CANDLE LANTERN

Description

SHEET-IRON CANDLE LANTERN, half-circular form, topped with a circular-form cap and having a wire ring handle, interior fitted with a single candle socket mounted to a pull-out base with strap handle, facing with a colorless glass pane and serving as the hinged door with guards. 19th century. 8 1/4" H to top of cap, 5 5/8" WOA.

Condition

Very good overall condition, expected usage wear, scattered light denting and surface rust, some old solder repairs to the guard junctures, candle socket frozen.
